Health care Information Technology (HIT)

The increasing adoption and integration of health information technology (HIT) is transforming the delivery of healthcare by:

  • Increasing… patient access to health care, especially the underserved
  • Empowering… both clinicians and patients through the diffusion and adoption of the latest information and electronic applications
  • Improving… the quality of care through coordination, assessment tools and real-time results
  • Enabling… savings by eliminating duplication of services while providing early intervention to at risk populations

All by being time and place independent.

Areas of Focus | HIT

Clinical Systems

  • Knowledge Management System - internally developed to improve access to the knowledge and information that advances clinical care, research and teaching; it provides a multi-disciplined approach to achieving health care delivery by making the best use of knowledge.
  • Clinical Decision Support System – our clinical decision support (CDS) provides our clinicians and staff, with knowledge and person-specific information, intelligently filtered or presented at the appropriate points of care, to enhance health care delivery through a variety of tools to enhance decision-making in the clinical workflow process.
