BWH - Center for Patient Safety, Research and Practice: focuses on patient safety, utilizing information technology to improve clinical decision-making, quality-of-care, cost-effectiveness, and outcomes assessment in medical practice. Health Information Technology Center for Education and Research on Therapeutics (CERT) focuses on therapeutic issues related to appropriateness, safety, and efficacy in ambulatory, inpatient and transitional care settings within the context of health information technology.
MGH - Lab for Computer Science (LCS): focuses on transforming health care delivery through biomedical informatics research and rapid development of innovative health information systems which connect provider to provider, provider to patient and patient to resources. LCS lead EHR development and clinical support through the development of On Call - a web-based clinical systems platform that provides portability, shareability, and aggregation of clinical data and DxPLain– a medical reference system for 2400 different diseases.
PHS - The Clinical and Quality Analysis (CQA): Focuses on research to evaluate the impact of clinical information systems on patient safety, quality, and care delivery in addition to promoting the value health care information technology (HIT) and informs the design, development, and implementation of effective tools to support quality patient care.
